Snow Leopard Sisters

Snow Leopard Sisters tells the inspiring story of an extraordinary friendship between two Indigenous women in one of the most remote regions of the Himalayas. The film follows snow leopard conservationist Tshiring Lhamu Lama, who takes 17-year-old Tenzin Bhuti Gurung under her wing. Tenzin is trying to escape an arranged marriage and finds a mentor and ally in Tshiring. Together, they venture through the rugged, breathtaking mountain landscapes of the Himalayas in search of the last remaining endangered snow leopards.

Through intimate observations and stunning images of nature, this documentary shows how courage, friendship and perseverance can not only transform these women's lives but also contribute to protecting one of the world's most elusive animal species.
