Love Me Tender

Love Me Tender is a moving French drama by director Anna Cazenave Cambet, based on the novel by Constance Debré. Clémence finds herself at a turning point in her life. After her divorce, she decides to finally be fully herself and openly embrace her love for women. What feels like liberation to her is seized by her ex-husband as a weapon in a relentless custody battle over their son.

What follows is an emotional legal struggle in which personal freedom, social norms, and parental love collide head-on.

The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2025, and is an intense, layered portrait of a woman who refuses to choose between who she is and who she wants to be as a mother.
