Description
On a harsh winter night in 1899, Aimée arrives in a remote mountain village in the snow-covered French Alps. She is a young, progressive schoolteacher, but in this community—isolated by snow and tradition—faith and legends prove to be just as powerful as letters and numbers. Undeterred by her reception, she sets out, armed with her knowledge, to combat illiteracy and deeply rooted superstition.
With each snowfall, Aimée’s involvement deepens, while an intense, sensual restlessness grows within her. When an avalanche sweeps away a young villager, reality begins to shift and the fragile balance is disrupted. What follows is a poetic, unsettling, and at times suffocating winter folk drama, in which desire, fear, and superstition merge with the overwhelming force of nature.
