Amsterdam, 1969. In the heart of the hippie movement and home to Ajax, roommates Onno and Gijs fall head over heels for the dreamy Sonja on the evening after the student riots. Sonja effortlessly winds the men around her finger. They mix drugs with deep conversations, philosophizing about social change, artistic expression, and personal growth. But as the city immerses itself in the flower-power movement, it becomes clear that free love can still be surprisingly complicated.

In his first feature film in nearly ten years, Eddy Terstall (Simon, Rent A Friend, Vox Populi) takes us back to Amsterdam in 1969, showing how the Netherlands became the country it is today.
