Description
June 1940. France surrenders to the German army and signs the armistice. Amid the chaos, one man refuses to accept the situation: General de Gaulle. Newly declared an enemy of the state, he flees to London—with neither military support nor hope—to pick up the pieces of his fallen homeland. De Gaulle has one unwavering belief: a new, free France and a Europe that refuses to lay down its arms against Nazi Germany.
