Three freebooters hunting a gold treasure during the American Civil War (1861-1865). Although they hate each other, a combination of circumstances forces them to cooperate.

The story is told in a combination of experimental style exercises, cynical humor, action scenes, opera-like drama and epic-historical scenes.

With the unforgettable music of Ennio Morricone.
