Description

This summer, Cinecitta is heading outdoors for the first time with Cinecitta Summer Vibes.

A warm summer evening, a good drink in your hand, and a beautiful film on the big screen under the stars. This summer, Cinecitta proudly presents its Open-Air Cinema! In this first edition, you can enjoy the crime classic Pulp Fiction by director Quentin Tarantino.

The flamboyant director Quentin Tarantino is perhaps the ultimate writer-director of the 1990s. A master storyteller of brilliant homages, dizzying dialogue, sharp characters, and snappy soundtracks, he delivered with Pulp Fiction a film that inspired an entire generation of filmmakers. The film won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and received the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, its highest prize.

In Pulp Fiction, powerful crime stories intertwine in a cleverly constructed narrative. The film follows two not-so-bright hitmen who are given a job that quickly gets out of hand. It also follows a boxer who is ordered to lose his next fight. Tarantino separates the different storylines, intricately weaves them back together, and constantly jumps back and forth in time. The film marked the comeback of John Travolta and the breakthrough of Samuel L. Jackson.
