TIAFF 2025 OPENING FESTIVAL: After the Future

In the short film After the Future, directed by Sven Prince on behalf of Het Nieuwe Instituut, we see a selection of the Netherlands' most influential architects reflecting on the role of the architect in society, the challenges they face, and their expectations for the future. The film was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic and captures an atmosphere of isolation and introspection. From the living room of the Sonneveld House, we hear from Carel Weeber, Herman Hertzberger, Winy Maas, Floris Alkemade, Lyongo Juliana, Ellen van Loon, Elma van Boxel and Kristian Koreman, Arna Mačkić, Dikkie Scipio, Nina Aalbers, and Raoul Vleugels. After the Future will be screened on Friday evening as part of the opening program, and on Saturday alongside the film A Piece of Furniture to Live In.
