While two teenagers graze their herd in the mountains and play near a spring, they are attacked by terrorists. Sixteen-year-old Nizar is killed. Ashraf, only fourteen, must deliver a macabre message to his family. The film focuses on the trauma and grief that this tragic event brings about.
Red Path, by Tunisian writer and director Lotfi Achour, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in the Cineasti del Presente section, which is dedicated to promising and innovative filmmakers.
