TiAFF Earth

Every year, several billion tons of earth are moved by humans - with shovels, excavators and dynamite. 'Earth' observes humans, in mines, quarries and large construction sites, constantly fighting to take possession of the planet. Earth makes clear how much man is imposing his will on the earth and depleting it. What tectonic plates, wind, water and other natural forces built up over millions of years, mankind is tearing down in just a few decades. Nikolaus Geyrhalter has captured that fact in a documentary that cannot leave you unmoved as a viewer.
