Description
After his roles in well-known action films, Tom Cruise shows a completely different side of himself in Digger, the new film by Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, The Revenant).
Cruise plays Digger Rockwell, the most powerful man in the world, who, after causing a catastrophe, desperately tries to portray himself as the saviour of humanity. What follows is an absurdist, dark satire about power, ego and the fine line between heroism and self-glorification.
With an impressive cast including Riz Ahmed, Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons and John Goodman, Digger is a visually daring satire that effortlessly combines humour and disorientation.
