The Voice of Hind Rajab received a record-breaking round of applause at its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The standing ovation lasted an astonishing 23 minutes and 50 seconds—the longest applause ever recorded at a film festival. The film also won the Grand Jury Prize in Venice and the Grand Prix for Best Film at Film Fest Ghent. In addition, the film is Tunisia’s official Oscar submission, giving Kaouther Ben Hania another chance at an Academy Award following her previous nominations for Four Daughters and The Man Who Sold This Skin.
