Oscar-nominated filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady follow the young people on the threshold of adulthood. Uncertainty and resistance slowly give way to personal growth, self-confidence, and a deeper connection with nature and with one another. In Folktales, the filmmakers show how today’s youth spin their own threads, rediscovering themselves amid the breathtaking landscapes and harsh conditions of the far north.
