In 1984 London, eccentric single mother Cynthia (Hayley Squires) lives with her 7-year-old daughter Maria (Lily-Beau Leach) in a world filled with tender touches and boundless love. During the day, they roam the streets in search of discarded treasures, while their home slowly transforms into a precarious tower of collected junk.

One fateful night, Maria’s warm and sheltered world collapses. Ten years later, she (Saura Lightfoot-Leon) lives with her foster mother and seems to have left the past behind—until the older and mysterious Michael (Joseph Quinn) appears...

Hoard marks a highly promising directorial debut from filmmaker Luna Carmoon. Her bold direction and the raw openness of the lead performances give the film a wild energy and unexpected humor that go hand in hand.
